Meet the host…
Hannah Timpson
Hey…
I’m Hannah, the host of Hey Hello Podcast. I had the idea to begin a podcast and share inspiring people, stories, laughter, banter and connection. One of the biggest driving factors in creating this space is giving back. I believe we all have a purpose and things that drive us. For me, this has always been connecting, inspiring and helping others. There is so much knowledge and information to be shared that can help empower you.
I grew up in the North Island of New Zealand, place called Kapiti Coast. I moved to Perth Australia in 2016 to continue Nursing in the Post Anaesthetist Care Unit. Planned to only live in Australia for two years, but quickly learning how great life is in Perth. It was obvious this was to become my new home.
Before my PACU nursing career and moving to Perth, I spent 15 years as a competitive horse rider in Showing and Show Jumping. My mum was a great horse rider and at the age of 5 I had my first pony and began competing a few years later. Alongside horses I was a lover of sport, playing netball until high school, where I then started Horse Vaulting. Not the Pole Vault type, but real horses and acrobatics/gymnastics on the back of the cantering horse. Not to be confused with “trick riding’, much more controlled disciplined sport. Alongside horses i loved making people happy. Whether it was with my quick wit and banter or just by being a good person.
I’ve had a few health journeys over the years and during my own experiences, I realised how important it is to advocate for yourself. During my journey I learned so much, but I realised there are so many other people in their own journeys, that don’t have access to information or Healthcare. Working in this industry I wanted to bridge the gap, open conversations with people about their own journey, personal and professional experiences. Show people an inside perspective of this industry, the incredible work taking place, but also to empower your own experience.
