Meet the host…

Hannah Timpson

Hey…

Hey! I’m Hannah, the host of the Hey Hello Podcast. I created this space to share inspiring stories, laughter, and meaningful connections, with one of my biggest motivations being to give back. I believe we all have a unique purpose, and for me, it’s all about connecting with and empowering others. Through this podcast, I hope to share knowledge and provide tools that help people advocate for themselves and find their own balance.

In 2019, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune bowel disease, a journey that completely reshaped my life. While I’m currently in remission, I will always have this disease, and it has deepened my understanding of the importance of listening to our bodies and being mindful of our health. This experience has fuelled my passion for helping others navigate their own health journeys, encouraging them to advocate for themselves and be aware of the need for balance in their lives.

I grew up in the beautiful Kapiti Coast on the North Island of New Zealand before moving to Perth, Australia, in 2016 to continue my nursing career in the Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit. What was supposed to be a two-year stint quickly turned into my new home, as I fell in love with the life here.

Before my nursing career, I spent 15 years as a competitive horse rider in Showing and Show Jumping. My love for horses started at age five with my first pony, and I later got involved in Horse Vaulting—an acrobatic sport performed on horseback, not to be confused with trick riding. Alongside horses, I’ve always been passionate about making people happy, whether through my quick wit, banter, or simply by being a good person.

Over the years, I’ve had my fair share of health challenges, and these experiences have taught me the importance of advocating for oneself. I realised that many people, particularly those without access to information or healthcare, don’t always have the resources to support their own journeys. This podcast is my way of opening up conversations and shedding light on the amazing work being done in the healthcare industry, while also empowering others to take control of their own stories and experiences!
